At Adapt Properties, we’re Calgary born and raised — and so is our story.
For generations, our family has run businesses in these very industrial areas: dealerships, heavy truck sales, parts supply, financing, mechanic shops, autobody and paint. We’ve bought, grown, and sold companies through Alberta’s ups and downs, so we know firsthand what it takes to do what you have to do to run your business — in good times and bad.
We’re not just investors looking at numbers on a page. We’ve been in your shoes, and a few years ago, we chose to sell our operating businesses to focus solely on the real estate portfolio we built along the way. Today, that’s what Adapt Properties is all about.
We buy existing buildings and we build new ones — but our focus is always the same: single-tenant industrial spaces that businesses can actually use. While other developers squeeze every last square foot onto a lot, we still believe in parking, yard space, and buildings designed to make work easier, not harder.
When we look at a building or plan a new one, we put ourselves back in the boots we used to wear: Would we run our business here? Would our staff and customers have what they need? If the answer’s no, we don’t do it.
We’re solutions-focused and easy to work with. We know every business is different, so we work with our tenants to find practical answers and make things work for the long run. It’s why most of our tenants stay with us for years — and we’re proud of that. We grow together.
We don’t flip properties. We don’t chase quick exits. Our strategy is simple: buy, build, and hold for the long term — for all the hardworking businesses that still need functional industrial space to get the job done.
